The custom configurable Stonehaven X633
rackmount server features the AMD Opteron Quad-Core
ready nVidia nForce chipset. This storage server
features AMD's next generation Opteron™ Rev F 2000
series processors. As a quad-core ready Opteron server
the Stonehaven can be configured with dual-core
processors and the quad-core Opterons.
Features to the AMD Opteron processors include;
90nm fabrication,
1MB L2
cache per core, 64-bit computing, 1000MHz Hypertransport,
and lower power consumption.
By utilizing the 3Gb/s SATA II disk
drives this storage server can provide 800MB/S internal transfer speeds via the best
RAID controller on the market
without RAID array limitations. This is a vast improvement over the archaic
IDE disk drives and the
over-priced SCSI drives.
Included are
up to
32TB in
32 hot-swap SATA drive bays, dual Gigabit LAN
and up to 64GB of DDR2 DIMM memory. Housed in an
dense 6U chassis with a redundant 1350W power supply, the
Terazilla performs
with multiple OS platforms for full interoperability in
heterogeneous environments. Options
include the flexibility for; rear
hot-swap OS hard drives, DVD-R or CD-RW,
and upgrades such as iSCSI, NAS and backup software.
By design the
Stonehaven X633 can be
supersized via an external SCSI port
for expansion
in
excess of 50TB through the addition of up to
three
XDAS scalable storage expansion boxes per SCSI channel,
thus creating a
scalable iSCSI NAS server.
